Austin Rivers Says Damian Lillard Requesting A Trade Is "Bad" For NBA

In this story:
Miami Heat fans are in favor of the team acquiring Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.
But not everyone is thrilled about Lillard requesting a trade to the Heat. Free agent guard Austin Rivers recently said the pending move is "bad for the league."
Rivers spoke of the issue during an appearance on The Ringer's NBA Show.
"If you were a free agent, then you could choose where you were gonna go,"Lillard said "… This started with James [Harden] and Ben [Simmons] and all these guys doing this sh*t. It's bad for the league."
Rivers, who played for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, said he remains a huge fan of Lillard but would rather see him complete his contract with the Trail Blazers. The Heat are still trying to figure out a trade package. Lillard requested a trade to Miami earlier this month.

"Regardless of how good of a player you are, man, the NBA is a privilege," Rivers said "If you are a free agent, then you can choose where you wanna go, that’s the business. But when you’re not, and you sign a deal, man, that’s part of the business, bro. If you get traded somewhere, you gotta go play.”
