Damian Lillard Trade Talks At A Stall For Miami Heat After A Month Of Negotiating

In this story:
Portland Trail Blazers general manager Joe Cronin warned it could take months to trade guard Damian Lillard.
So far, he's been right.
Little progress has been made since Lillard requested a trade to the Miami Heat nearly a month ago. Both teams have failed in trying to come up with a package to complete the deal.
Problems stem from the Trail Blazer being unhappy with the Heat's trade bait. Both parties are also struggling to find a third or fourth team to involve in the deal according to ESPN's Marc Spears, who has been in contact with Lillard's agent Aaron Goodwin.
“I talked to Aaron Goodwin today," Spears said on a recent appearance on SportsCenter. "He basically told me nothing’s new. I think what Aaron’s trying to do is continually try to find teams that can offer the best package that could potentially make this a three-, or likely could be a four-team deal to get Dame out”

Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson and multiple draft picks are among the pieces the Heat are planning on offering for Lillard, a seven-time All-Star. The Heat are playing a dangerous game waiting for Lillard. If the deal falls through, they face the possibility of another offseason without making any moves during free agency while many teams have improved this summer.
