Do Miami Heat Have Best Offense In Playoffs?

In this story:
When the Miami Heat had a breakout offensive performance in Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks, many brushed it off because it was just for one game.
Yet here we are over a week into the postseason, and the Heat are still No. 1 in scoring and 3-point shooting. The Heat are averaging 124.3 points, shooting 55.6 percent from the field and 50 percent from the arc.
It’s no secret that Miami’s offense was underwhelming this season. They had the lowest scoring offense, ranking 27th in 3-point percentage and 26th in field goal percentage. This came after a season where they were first in 3-point shooting and bench points.
Heat fans had to watch their team in low-scoring affairs and poor shooting from the arc through the year. But if there’s any time to improve offensively, it’s in the playoffs. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra marveled at Miami’s improvement in 3-point shooting.
“We’ve been one of the top 3-point shooting teams since the All-Star break,” Spoelstra said. “A lot of guys have been contributing to that, and we’re getting them in a lot of different ways.”
It will be tough to continue that production without shooting guards Victor Oladipo and Tyler Herro. Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo also likely returns soon, which gives them the edge they were supposed to have all series. Bam Adebayo needs to step up offensively. He is averaging 17.3 points but had just 12 in Game 3.
The Heat host Game 4 Monday night.
