Golden State's Jordan Poole Drawing Similar Criticism For Late-Game Shot As Jimmy Butler Did In Game 7 Last Year

In this story:
Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole is going through what Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler experienced during last year's NBA playoffs.
Poole is taking heat for his questionable shot selection at the end of the Warriors' loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals. He took a 28-foot 3-pointer despite Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on the court.
The play has drawn similar critique as Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes' late shot late in a loss to the Warriors in the first round. It is also sort of like when Butler raised a few eyebrows last year in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics. Butler chose to go for the winning 3-pointer in regulation instead of playing for overtime.

ESPN analyst was so upset with Poole's shot he compared it to an episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when the character Carlton steals the ball from the star player (Will Smith) and heaves a halfcourt 3-pointer.
"Bro!! Jordan Poole does some things that would make me seem like a basketball genius," Clark tweeted. "… He just shot that like Carlton when he stole the last shot from Will!"
