How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Bradley Beal’s Trade To The Phoenix Suns

In this story:
The Washington Wizards are finalizing a trade to send star guard Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns.
Suns are expected to send Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, multiple second-round picks and pick swaps to Wizards, sources tell ESPN. Phoenix has no available first-rounders to include in trade. Beal’s no-trade limited Wizards’ marketplace. Deal could take a few days to be finalized.

The Miami Heat lose out on the three-time All-Star, leading to some underwhelming reactions from the fanbase.
Failing to upgrade your roster because you’re focused on a star that isn’t available.

The frustration boils over from the inability to acquire a star player last season. Miami was flustered with stars such as Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell but none came to fruition. Further stalling leaves some worried about another potentially wasted season.
Miami Heat fans’ trade expectation: Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard

The reality?!: pic.twitter.com/Rko669PTcR
That’s a pretty sizable gut punch to the Miami Heat. No trades for Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, or Bradley Beal over the last 12 months.

Damian Lillard might be next but there will always be surprises.
The Heat’s inability to improve last offseason showed in their struggles throughout the year. An improbable playoff run temporarily silenced these concerns but a gentleman’s sweep in the Finals revived them.
The Heat can still get Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, who listed them at the top of his preferred destinations.
Miami’s focus is Portland superstar Damian Lillard with the genuine belief this could be the offseason the veteran guard seeks a change of scenery, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

However, it’s going to take a lot to get the seven-time All-Star. Although he doesn’t have a no-trade clause, his desire to stay in Portland may factor into the final decision. Also, the team seemingly building around Lillard means they are unlikely to trade someone central to the future structure.
Fans are crossing their fingers, but we iterated these words last offseason…and here we are a year later.
