The Miami Heat's offseason went from bad to worse Wednesday when Damian Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks

After a month of waiting for Lillard, the Heat are now in catch-up mode. With the Bucks and Boston Celtics improving their roster with key summer signings, the Heat are left with basically the same team from last season.

The Heat can salvage this by successfully making a move for Jrue Holiday, who was dealt from Milwaukee to the Portland Trail Blazers in the Lillard trade.

Holiday isn't likely to last too long in Portland because of an already crowded backcourt. Many teams are lining up for Holiday

"Any team who's trying to win and is trying to really keep up with this arms race now in the East with Milwaukee attracting Damian Lillard in this deal, they want in on Jrue Holiday," ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said during Thursday's episode of "Get Up."

Holiday makes perfect sense because he fits the Heat mold. He can score in addition to being a solid defender. The Heat will struggle to keep pace with an aging Kyle Lowry at point guard. Holiday is a solid upgrade that would help the Heat stay within distance of the Bucks and Celtics.
