Lifelong Miami Hurricanes Fan And Sports Handicapper In Position To Win $535,000 On National Championship Winner

In this story:
A lifelong Miami Hurricanes fans may have the chance of a lifetime if they win the NCAA championship in Houston.
In early November, Fort Lauderdale native Peter John Anadio, the owner of the sports gambling website The Sports Bet Expert and longtime season-ticket holder, had a hunch the Hurricanes would contend for a championship. Months later, that may have happen.
The Hurricanes play Connecticut in the Final Four Saturday in Houston. Anadio placed a $6,000 wager on UM at 100-1. If the Hurricanes beat the Huskies Saturday and then the winner of San Diego State-Florida Atlantic in the title game Monday, Anadio is set to win $535,000.
"I looked at the odds to win the national championship and being a lifelong Miami Hurricanes fan I immediately remembered how close we got last year, losing to eventual champion Kansas" Anadio said. "We added two transfers we desperately needed in Norchad Omier and Nijel Pack. I’m thinking to myself, `We are really being disrespected: 100-1 odds to win the national title?' We have all the pieces to make a deep run and potentially win it all."
