In this story:
Social media websites blew up moments after it was reported Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving has requested a trade.
Many Miami Heat fans offered possible scenarios that would bring the All-Star to South Florida. The Heat are in a decent position, with Caleb Martin, Max Strus, Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson among the possible trade baits.

Acquiring Irving would make the Heat an instant contender in the Eastern Conference. After falling one win shy of the NBA Finals, the Heat have struggled to a 29-24 record approaching the All-Star break. Most of the losses are because of injury problems but the Heat have shown they need another scoring threat alongside Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler.

If anything, Irving has made the next week interesting for a few select teams that include the Heat and Pat Riley. In the meantime, the Heat face the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday.
