Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is one of the best players in the NBA ... except when he plays the Miami Heat.

Young faces the Heat another year in the postseason tonight in the play-in tournament.

"I am aware of that," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said of Young's struggles against the Heat. "It's been out there. You're going to get his best as you should expect."

Young averaged 15.4 points on 31 percent from the field when the Hawks were eliminated by the Heat last year in the first round.  Young averages 21.4 points against the Heat on 40 percent shooting. He averages 25.5 points on 43 percent shooting against the rest of the league.

Still, Spoelstra said he has noticed improvement from the Hawks since Quin Snyder took over in February.

"Since the coaching change, their offense has taken a big-time jump," Spoelstra said. "You have to be able to respect that. It's not like you can expect to come in here with an average game. You have teams that are not that far apart in the overall standings. It should be highly competitive and I want that to bring out the best in us."
