Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo was voted by the coaches Thursday as a reserve for the NBA All-Star Game. 

This marks his second appearance in the event, making it in 2020 also. There was chance of Adebayo getting snubbed despite being the Heat's most consistent player this season. Miami hopefuls Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro were left off the roster. 

Adebayo is in the middle of the best year of his career, averaging 21.4 points, 10 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Adebayo is also among the candidates for Defensive Player of the Year.

Adebayo received plenty endorsements from teammates, including Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry and Tyler Herro. He also was backed by coach Erik Spoelstra. 

The other Eastern Conference reserves were Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks), DeMar DeRozan (Chicago Bulls), Julius Randle (New  York Knicks, Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers).
