Miami Heat’s Dru Smith Expresses Willingness To Contribute Whenever He Can

In this story:
Miami Heat guard Dru Smith is on a two-way contract, meaning he is willing to play any role asked of him to make the regular season roster.
Smith’s top performance came on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, where he scored nine points along with five rebounds and 10 assists. He spoke about the importance of contributing wherever he can.
"Being able to come in and run the offense and get the ball where it needs to go and hopefully hit guys when they're open and allow them to make plays," Smith said. "Jimmy, Bam, Duncan, Tyler, all those guys, they need to get the ball when they need it."
Although he has not proven himself as an efficient scorer, Smith could play an important role in a lacking Heat backcourt. Outside of Tyler Herro, Josh Richardson, and Kyle Lowry, the remainder of the minutes are up for grabs.
"I just have to do whatever is asked of me," Smith said. "I think a lot of situations, at least right now in the preseason, that's what's asked of me."
If finding the open shooters is how he finds himself on the court, Smith proved that he will not hesitate to do so.
Could Dru Smith Serve As Miami Heat's Gabe Vincent This Season?
