Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo Among Those Called Upon For Team USA’s 2024 Olympics Team

In this story:
Most were aware Team USA didn’t exactly send the biggest stars for the this year's FIBA World Cup.
Still, it was underwhelming to fall out against Germany in the semifinals before losing the bronze medal to Canada behind a 39-point performance from NBA villain Dillon Brooks. These losses leave some calling for the team to come with the big guns for the next one.
Obviously, players like Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were called to revamp the national squad. But a few others requested were Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler.
Adebayo’s size and rebounding could help the team, as his two-way playmaking could provide defense and solid production in the paint. Meanwhile, Butler is an incredible scorer in crucial moments, so he could add another high-level offensive threat to Team USA.
This list even features former Heat superstar LeBron James and … potential future Heat superstar Damian Lillard. James hinted at a desire to join the next team, perhaps as a "last dance" before entering his final years in the league. Lillard's shot selection will make it difficult for any defense to stop.
America's team could definitely use some reinforcements after missing out on the gold for the second year in a row. Noah Lyles is probably sitting back laughing right now.
