Miami Heat's Nikola Jovic Is Impressing For Serbia In World Cup

In this story:
The offseason talk surrounding the Miami Heat is the pursuit of Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.
But second-year forward Nikola Jovic is doing his best to keep his name in the conversation. Jovic had a team-high 17 points for Serbia in a 94-77 victory against Puerto Rico in the World Cup.
He also had four assists, shooting 6 of 9 from the field (three 3-pointers).
“I just got my shot,” Jovic said to reporters afterward. “My teammates found me. I hit some open shots. That’s it.”
The 6-foot-11 Jovic spent most of his rookie season playing in the G League. He could play a larger role this season if he remains on the roster.
Is there anything he cannot do? 🔥

Jovic is among the players who the Heat could include in the trade package for Lillard. Talks have stalled since Lillard requested a trade to Miami July 1 because neither team can figure out for a deal.
