One of Jimmy Butler’s Friends Has Had Enough with the Miami Heat’s Losing Ways

In this story:
A friend of Jimmy Butler took to X to give his thoughts on the current state of the Miami Heat.
It’s no secret that the Heat have struggled to come across wins recently. The team has lost six straight, marking the longest losing streak of the season. It also ties the longest skid that Miami has endured since doing so twice in 2016-17. The Heat missed the playoffs that year.
Just as the roster seemed to be coming together, the results have yet to follow. Miami is 0-3 since acquiring Terry Rozier from the Charlotte Hornets. Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Butler have also returned from injury, yet the team has yet to come out in front since Jan. 15.
Butler’s friend responded to multiple posts on X about things relating to the Heat after the team's 125-109 loss on Saturday to the New York Knicks. Below are just a few of his comments.
I’m just curious if yall even watch the games?? THE PLAYS AND SETS AREN’T RAN FOR HIM!!!!! Is it not obvious?? Today they had no choice. Against Boston he was just sitting in the corner. Coaches try to get someone else going so bad that it messes up the whole team. https://t.co/9wsVv7uPVv

Wouldn’t even make post season. I’m his friend and even I can accept and say that this team has over achieved like crazy the last 4 years. Not even I expected what has happened. Yet it was never enough to go all in.

I think the problem is very obvious. It will never get fixed or addressed so it is what it is at this point.

He addresses a number of topics, including coaching, front-office decisions, and Butler's usage in Miami's offense. Some of his comments have some legitimacy.
Starting with Miami's star, Butler was the Heat's leading scorer on Saturday. Prior to that, though, he had attempted just 10 or 11 shots in each of the other five games during Miami's losing streak. Not the shot volume that you would expect from a team's top player.
The past offseason was also filled with rumors about bringing another star. Many NBA All-Stars switched teams over the summer but none made their way down to Miami. The Heat did recently bring in Rozier who was in the midst of a career season.
Miami's next attempt to turn things around is on Monday against the Phoenix Suns.
