Miami Heat's Victor Oladipo Done For Season After Tearing Patellar Tendon In Left Knee

Miami Heat guard Victor Oladipo was dealt another setback.
He sustained a season-ending torn patellar in his left knee during Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The injury occurred while driving to the basket in the fourth quarter of a game that was already decided. It is just the latest chapter in the long list of injuries for Oladipo.
INJURY UPDATE: An MRI has revealed that Victor Oladipo suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. He will miss the remainder of the postseason.

“Yes, there are injuries. That is a part of this game. We understand that,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters after Sunday's practice. “But the human side of it, when you see somebody that's overcome so much and he's done it time and time and time again, and he always does it with an incredible positive spirit and a smile on his face — even last night ... that's why I admire him so much.”
After becoming an All-Star early in his career, Oladipo has dealt with constant injuries since 2019. Oladipo, who has missed 255 games in four seasons, is set for a third major surgery in four years.
