The NBA offseason leaves many fans searching for narratives and basketball conversations as they wait for the new season.

But Miami Heat and Boston Celtics fans are never left without discussions, as their social media feuds continue months after facing each other in the conference finals.

One Celtics fan said the addition of forward Kristaps Porzingis makes the Heat fanbase nervous.

“Lol Miami fans petrified of [Celtics] getting KP, they are begging so bad for Dame,” the fan said.

Of course, Heat fans fired back, claiming this assessment was ridiculous.

To be fair, the fan may be highlighting the fact that Boston is making additions, while the Heat have been stagnant in their all-in push for superstar Damian Lillard. He could be alluding to the Celtics’ big move as a sign of fear during Miami’s stagnation.

But let’s be honest, do Heat fans really care about the meaning behind his statement?

Miami Heat Beat's Kenny Spence even highlighted Heat players’ statistics playing against Porzingis.

The Celtics adding Porzingis should elevate their championship aspirations. He was a fringe All-Star last season, averaging career-highs in scoring (23.2) and field goal percentage (49.8%). The Heat adding Lillard will have the same effect…when it eventually happens.
