The Miami Heat play the New York Knicks in Game 5 Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., at Madison Square Garden. The broadcast is on TNT.

The time was determined after the Golden State Warriors victory against the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday in Game 2 of their series. That assured the series with go at least five games, Warriors-Knicks and Heat-Knicks play on same day.

NO UPDATE ON JIMMY BUTLER'S STATUS FOR GAME 3

The status for Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler for Game 3 against the New York Knicks is the same as it was Wednesday.

Nothing new to report.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said there "was update" on Butler's condition for Saturday's game. His injured ankle that caused him to miss Tuesday's Game 2 remains evaluated on a daily basis.

"I’m not going to get into all the minutiae of it,” Spoelstra said. “When we find out how he is feeling on Saturday, we’ll let you know. That’s what the deal is.”

The positive is Butler has three days off to rest. That gives him more time than the usual one or two days between games.

The Heat and Knicks are tied at 1 in the best-of-series. The winner plays the Boston Celtics or Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference finals.
