Mock Trade: The Next Move After Drafting Scoot Henderson at #2

In this story:
With Charlotte's current roster situation, I don't expect any "blockbuster" trades on Draft night. GM Mitch Kupchak is clearly interested to see this roster healthier, another year older, and all playing together with the addition of some premier talent from the draft. The other key factor is some of Charlotte's most enticing trade pieces, Miles Bridges and PJ Washington, are restricted free agents who can't be traded on draft night. With that said, I scoured the trade machine for a potential draft night trade in the scenario where Charlotte drafts Scoot Henderson at No. 2.
Terry Rozier to Utah
If the Hornets draft Scoot Henderson, it's fair to question Rozier's long term future in Charlotte. In the short term, I still believe it's more likely the team carries Ball-Rozier-Henderson into the 22-23 season and see how it all plays out. However, if they did feel the need to make a move, I like the idea of Utah as a trade partner.
Danny Ainge originally drafted Rozier in Boston, he is now at the helm of the Utah Jazz front office, and has always been a big believer in Rozier's game. Utah needs a point guard and rumors have surfaced that they are targeting a guard in this draft at No. 16. But is anyone they're going to get there really going to be better than Rozier? This Jazz roster showed they're closer to the playoffs than most think and with owning so many future Minnesota picks there's little incentive to "tank". Utah also retains a later 1st round pick, so they don't mortgage their future entirely in this move.
For Charlotte, they get back a sixth man in Sexton, who will likely be more amenable to coming off the bench at 75% of the cost of Rozier. With a summer of spending to retain their restricted free agents ahead, Charlotte might be eager to avoid paying $23 million per year for a 3rd guard. Sexton could help a struggling Hornets' second unit on offense with his downhill driving ability. He also has some untapped potential, having only worked his way back from an ACL injury last season and will be in a better place physically for the 22-23 season.
The real prize of this move is moving up to what would be the 16th pick. I would target a low usage shooting wing such as Gradey Dick, Jett Howard or Jordan Hawkins to pair next to Charlotte's new dynamic guard duo. Other teams who could have interest in trading for Rozier are Phoenix, Brooklyn and Chicago.
