With the 2023 NBA Draft only hours a way, a fresh report from NBA Draft analyst Sam Vecenie suggests there are three teams with interest in trading for Charlotte's late 1st and early 2nd round picks. In Sam's latest article for The Athletic "Hornets NBA Draft Big Board" he shared this piece of intel:

The Hornets also have picks 34, 39 and 41, where they can likely get players of similar value to 27. I think the Hornets would do well to trade at least two of these four picks, depending on who falls to them. There are a number of contending teams who are looking to acquire a late-first or top-40 second-round pick. That list includes Milwaukee, Phoenix and Cleveland, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly about other teams

Sam Vecenie is one of the premier draft writers in the NBA media, if you're interested to read and learn more sign up to The Athletic or listen to his "Game Theory Podcast".

What deal could Milwaukee Offer? Unless Charlotte rate last years' Bucks 1st round pick MarJon Beauchamp highly, the Bucks offer would be draft pick based. The Bucks own Portland's 2024 2nd and could trade a potential future first in 2029, but I don't see a clear path to a deal with Milwaukee

What deal could Cleveland Offer? Isaac Okoro is the name that interests me, he's going into his lat year of his rookie deal and appears to have fallen out of favor in a Cleveland situation where his lack of shooting on a poor shooting team is exacerbated. The Cavs have multiple 2nd round picks in upcoming years they could package together for an offer.

What could Phoenix Offer? Nothing, they don't have anything left.
