Jazz-Rockets Injury Report: Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson Status

The Utah Jazz are back in action on Saturday night as they face off against the Houston Rockets amid their three-game road trip. With around 15 games left for this season, this young squad will hope to close out the season on a good note, but it might have to be done without a few key names within the lineup.

Both teams unveiled their injury reports before Sunday's game, with each side having a few productive guys set to be sitting on the sidelines:

Utah Jazz:

Lauri Markkanen- OUT (injury maintainance)

Jordan Clarkson- OUT (groin)

John Collins- QUESTIONABLE (face)

Omer Yurtseven- QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

Houston Rockets:

Alperen Sengun- OUT (ankle)

Cam Whitmore- OUT (knee)

Tari Eason- OUT (leg)

Steven Adams- OUT (knee)

Fitting their recent trend, the Jazz will be without some key contributors in the rotation on Saturday. For starters, Lauri Markkanen will be out as the team continues to focus on managing his recent quadriceps injury. Alongside him will be Jordan Clarkson, who's been dealing with a nagging groin injury that's kept him out of action for some time. John Collins and Omer Yurtseven remain questionable, as their status will likely get clearer closer to tip-off.

As for the Rockets, they will be without their star center, Alperen Sengun, who remains out with his ankle injury he sustained a few weeks ago. However, other younger players like Cam Whitmore and Tari Eason will continue to be inactive. Effectively, it puts more responsibility on the shoulders of guys like Jalen Green and Amen Thompson to help pull this game out for Houston.

Tip off for this game will go down at 6 PM MT at the Toyota Center.
