Jazz Select UCF's Taylor Hendricks at 9 in 2023 NBA Draft

In this story:
The Utah Jazz have selected F Taylor Hendricks from the University of Central Florida. Hendricks has had a great reputation as one of the best 3&D prospects in the draft, providing great versatility to guard the 3-5 and some efficient shot making. He’s got a wingspan of 7’0 which proves to be a force on the defensive end.
He’ll fit right next to an existing frontcourt of Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler to create one of the biggest and most versatile frontcourts the league has to offer. In the modern NBA, it’s extremely important to have both size and shooting to match up with some of the best in the league.
With big men like Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic becoming some of the best talents in the league today, matching up with the best is extremely important. Now, Utah is building to compete with the very best for the future selecting Hendricks at 9.
The Jazz still have work to do with two more picks remaining in the first round. We’ll await how Utah will tackle the rest of the first draft in this exciting rebuild.
