Charles Barkley Clowns SLC After Hosting NBA All-Star Game

In this story:
Salt Lake City isn't exactly known for its vibrant nightlife, which might have something to do with why the NBA went two-plus decades between holding the All-Star game there. While SLC might not be the most entertaining U.S. town, Utah Jazz fans know that it sure is a great place to raise a family.
Charles Barkley doesn't want to hear about that, though. Or about temples, churches, and other such "boring" concerns. Over All-Star Game weekend, 'The Round Mound of Rebound' clowned Salt Lake City, lamenting its lack of nightlife draws.
"These people going to heaven," Barkley said during the broadcast. "Ain't nothing to do in this boring ass city. It's a great city, but ain't nothing to do here. Can't smoke, can't drink. These people going to heaven."

Barkley made sure to call SLC "great" and in all honesty, he was just having some fun on the microphone, but some Jazz fans might take what he said as a shot across the bow.
I wouldn't. It was all in fun.
What SLC lacks in nightlife, it makes up for with its economy, quality of life, outdoor draws, and overall lack of crime. There's a reason Californians, and others, moved there by the hundreds of thousands when the pandemic hit.
