Jazz News: Keyonte George Statistically NBA’s ‘Top Performer’ in Vegas

In this story:
Think calling Keyonte George the best rookie of the Summer League is a bit of an overreaction? Well, it might not be as outlandish as it seems, and the stats would actually back you up pretty significantly.
In a tweet from HoopsHype showcasing some of the league’s best in terms of Vegas’ Summer League, they show the top 15 ranked performers in just their short two to three-game stretch. Atop the list is the Utah Jazz’s own, Keyonte George, accompanied by a large gap between him and 2nd place.

With a PER (or RAT in this graphic) of 36.8, George has been undeniably great through a small yet telling sample size of two games. He’s shown no signs of slowing down up to this point and will hope to emulate even more performances like this moving forward in Las Vegas.
We also can’t forget about Jazz big man Micah Potter, who has found a spot on this list at 13th. Currently signed to a two-way deal for the upcoming 2023-24 season, Potter continues to show how he belongs on an NBA roster. He’s been showing beneficial rebounding numbers in the company of additional impressive playmaking ability as well.
Entering tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets, Jazz fans will eagerly await another showing from George that further cements himself as a franchise cornerstone for years to come.
