Keyonte George’s Lock Screen Makes Him an Immediate Jazz Fan Favorite

After his electric outing against the Los Angeles Clippers in Saturday night’s Summer League win, Utah Jazz rookie Keyonte George filled in reporters on his unique phone lock screen.

While the common person’s lock screen is typically a photo with loved ones or even a cool landscape, George is strictly business.

In a tweet from Jazz reporter Sarah Todd, she shows George’s lock screen displaying a graphic of scouts' pre-draft analysis of him specifically, the section showing his stand-out weaknesses:

Keyonte's strategy seems to be effective pretty instantly after his play vs. the Clippers. If anything, he showed that his 'weaknesses' might not be as glaring as scouts once thought. His shot selection and shooting were no problem on Saturday after posting 33 points on 12/24 shooting (6/15 from beyond the arc), and his passing ability was actually one of his greater strengths of the night.

It just goes to show that pre-draft analysis does not always dictate how well a player will inevitably end in the pros. George is the prime example of this, already proving to opposing teams that they made a massive mistake not deciding to take a chance on drafting him.

George will have another opportunity to show out on Monday night vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves at 8 PM MST, hopefully again proving that these so-called weaknesses are nothing but irrelevant pre-draft chatter.
