Jazz Odds to Make Playoffs Revealed

In this story:
The oddsmakers continue to find new ways to underestimate the Utah Jazz. The latest comes from the Circa Sportsbook, giving Utah only a 20% chance of making the playoffs.
This should not be a shocker for Jazz fans as the different future bets continue to trickle in as we approach the regular season. Circa also has Utah’s win total set at 36.5 while giving them a 200-1 shot of winning the NBA championship.
Winning the title may not be in the cards in year two of the Will Hardy era, but the upgrades made to the roster after a year of posting 37 wins shouldn’t be ignored.
Most notably, John Collins being inserted into the starting lineup gives Utah one of the longest frontcourts in the league. Collins, Lauri Markkanen, and Walker Kessler, boasting wing spans of 6-foot-11 or better will provide Utah elite rim protection on the defensive end.
The domino effect of starting Collins will also make Utah one of the deepest teams in the league. Utah’s bench will be full of players that have starter experience. It remains to be seen precisely which players will nail down the starting jobs in the backcourt, but Collin Sexton, Ochai Agbaji, and Keyonte George would be a formidable trio coming off the bench if Hardy chooses to go in that direction.
The Jazz are also a team with players with plenty of room to grow. Look for Kessler, Collins, and Sexton as candidates to outperform seasons of the past.
Last season, the Jazz beat the oddsmaker's projected win total by 15 games. Duplicating that this year sounds like a bit much, but from this point of view, winning between 40-45 games is more than reasonable.
