In this story:

One of the Los Angeles Lakers' big trade acquisitions from last season has spoken up about this current group of the team.

Former Lakers guard Malik Beasley seemed to shade the Lakers on their ability to win. He said that he joined Milwaukee this season for the chance to win.

"Definitely wanted to win a championship, that was one of my goals," Beasley said. "I felt that I'm at a point in my career where I just want to win and do whatever I can for the team. With the Bucks I felt like the dynamic of Giannis and being able to space the floor for them, I felt like that was huge. I looked into all that, making sure I would be able to get some reps, making sure I'd be able to get some playing time."

Beasley had previously talked about him turning down more money from the Lakers to go elsewhere due to role. He ended up on the bench come playoff time last season for Los Angeles, and likely didn't want to do that again.

But it seems that he threw the Lakers under the bus here. Despite the team reaching the Western Conference Finals a year ago, the Lakers have struggled to reproduce their form.

Maybe Beasley knew something that nobody else did, which is why he ended up going to the Bucks. His decision has been a good one for himself, as he is shooting 47.2% from the three-point line.

He gets great looks while on the floor, and is part of a very solid Milwaukee team. His time in Los Angeles was short, but it has seemed to make a lasting impact on him, even if it wasn't the best of times for his role.
