NBA Rookies Polled Overwhelmingly Pick This Lakers Legend Over Michael Jordan As GOAT

One of the greatest sports debates!

With the NBA draft in our rearview mirror, we have been able to assess a ton of pros and cons about the new rookie class and the destinations in which they landed. Your very own Los Angeles Lakers had two picks this year and used one on a two-way, crafty guard by the name of Jalen Hood-Schifino and the other on the high-flying forward Maxwell Lewis.

It feels like the NBA world has come to realize and respect the talent in which Lakers scouts are able to identify even in later rounds and even though they've had their fair share of lottery picks in the past, they know what they're doing at really any point in the draft.

However, looking at this year's class as a whole, it has the potential to go down as one of the best ever. Victor Wembanyama's (#1 pick) hype coming into the NBA has likely only been matched by LeBron James and Zion Williamson and that's because it can be argued that he holds a skillset that nobody else in the league does. Scoot Henderson (#3 pick) has widely been labeled as someone who would go number one any other year if not for Wemby and Brandon Miller (#2 pick) is always drawing comparisons to some of the best scorers to ever play the game.

Therefore, Complex Sports decided to pose one of the biggest basketball questions to these up-and-coming stars before they even played their first game and it was very simple: LeBron James or Michael Jordan?

All three of them responded 'Bron' pretty quickly and Miller took it a step further to defend his controversial take around that same time that Paul George is the GOAT.

A number of other rookies including Gradey Dick, Rayan Rupert, Dereck Lively, Cason Wallace all rocked with The King as well and it makes sense, they all grew up in the middle of his time dominating the league.

However, Hood-Schifino, Jett Howard and Anthony Black were the outliers as they chose Jordan.

Summer League cannot come soon enough.
