Despite the fact that they are in different conferences, there is no bigger historical rivalry in the NBA than the one between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

They are the two winningest franchises in NBA history, with almost half of the championships in the NBA claimed by one of the two teams. They still don't like each other, even today.

Boston decided to poke fun at the Lakers and take a shot at them during NBA Defense Week, choosing to use a clip from one of their games against Los Angeles this year.

Celtics take shot at the Los Angeles Lakers and Luka Doncic

On social media, the Celtics simply posted a picture of Tatum blocking Luka Doncic as he attempted a lay-up.

Shortly after that, they followed up that social media post with the actual clip of Doncic being denied by Tatum at the rim.

This rivalry is why the Celtics are taking a shot at the Lakers. It's fun for them to take a shot at them any chance that they get, especially since Boston has won a title more recently than the Lakers have.

Los Angeles is hoping that they can get closer to a title next season than the Celtics will. With Jayson Tatum out with a torn Achilles, they have a tough road ahead of them to contention.

LA is expecting to be better next year now that Doncic will have a full offseason with the team. He's also in much better shape, and the Lakers made an upgrade at the center spot.

The Lakers are fully expecting to be in the hunt for the championship despite playing in a much harder conference. They still think they can beat the Oklahoma City Thunder and the revamped Houston Rockets.

LA was the third seed in the Western Conference this past season, even with everything they had to deal with early in the year. With Doncic in better shape, they believe they will have a better performance in the postseason.

Next season, you can bet that the Lakers will make sure to appreciate NBA Defense Week with a clip against the Celtics from one of their matchups.
