Former Lakers 1st Rounder Teases Potential Signing with Phoenix Suns Super Team

In this story:
Get ready folks... we are going to hear rumors about plenty of NBA veterans trying to find their way to the league's hottest new commodity, the Phoenix Suns. After successfully pulling off their second blockbuster trade in less than six months to add Bradley Beal to their roster, they are officially a super team as long as DeAndre Ayton remains on the roster.
And even if they have been stripped of majority of their depth and parted ways with a number of picks, they will be viewed as a top-three team in the Western Conference based off of their star power alone. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker can take over a game at any point and now they will be sharing the ball with a three-time All-Star that was the scoring title runner-up in 2021.
Therefore, it's easy to understand why the Suns did not pass up the opportunity to welcome Beal to their franchise and move on from an aging Chris Paul in the process but what is to come for the rest of their roster? Their big four will make a total of $160 million in the 2023-2024 season and it will be near-impossible for any other big names to make way to the valley unless they take a serious pay cut.

And could a former Los Angeles Lakers fan favorite be one of those willing to take a pay cut in order to join a squad that will be looking to get their revenge on the Denver Nuggets and the rest of the NBA next season?
Kyle Kuzma, who was traded from LA to the Washington Wizards in 2019, recently declined his $13 million player option a career-year and even though he's displayed past interest in remaining with the Wizards, other franchises have been listed as favorites to land him.

Your Lakers have obviously been up there as he's gone on record multiple times highlighting his connection with the city and he certainly had his moments, especially in that first year with the team where he a highlight of their youth movement and he ultimately served as a stretch four in their 2020 championship run.
But around the same time that news broke of his upcoming free agency along with the Bradley Beal trade, Kuz took to Instagram and shared a photo dump that included some pictures, selfies, and an interesting picture of him and Suns superstar Kevin Durant. The post was captioned 'Can't all fit in the SUV.'
Now Durant and Kuz are friends so this could be just a coincidence but the timing was just far too close together between all the events for fans not to speculate. They immediately flooded the comments asking the former Utah forward if he would be open to a move to Phoenix.
There is a lot to mull over here seeing that Kuz is 27-years-old and is just entering the prime years of his career. He is coming off of a season that saw him average 21 points per game and possessing the ability to shoot and create his own offense while standing around 6'9 has made him a popular option for multiple front offices.
If Kuzma is going to land anywhere near a max deal in his playing career, right now appears the best time to do so. Even if he and Durant are super close, Kuz would likely be better off joining the purple and gold again to get more money and be trained as a future top option again.... but that topic is for another article and another day!
