When Patrick Beverley first touched down in Los Angeles, it caught the majority of the fanbase by surprise. The defensive menace is known for being one of the most outspoken and physical players in the league and had a history of clashing with LeBron James, having on-court altercations with Russell Westbrook and was a key part of LA's other NBA team in the Clippers.

However, he did bring forth a defensive presence and energy that the Lakers needed. His stats were not the best as he averaged the least amount of points since his rookie season but he always did stick up for his teammates, even going as far as getting a technical for trying to prove a late-game foul against the Boston Celtics with a camera.

When the Lakers made their blockbuster deal to bring in D'Angelo Russell on Wednesday, Beverley was beyond excited to potentially reunite with his former teammate. The two played together the previous season on the Minnesota Timberwolves and gave us their notorious Play-In tournament victory celebration. The 34-year-old guard took to Twitter to welcome Russell.

Little did Beverley know that he would follow a similar fate the next day as he was part of a trade package that saw him traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Mo Bamba. This will be Beverley's fourth official team in just three seasons.

This is not the first time that the former All-Defensive guard reacted to trade news that he was a part of, only to be moved once again. Back in the 2021 offseason, he congratulated Reggie Jackson, his teammate at the time, on his contract extension with the Clippers. Very soon after, Beverley was sent to the Memphis Grizzles.

Staying optimistic, he tweeted "Grit and Grind. Let's Go", paying homage to the hardworking culture of the Grizzlies. Unfortunately, they would elect to also trade him, this time to the Timberwolves where he would stay for the season.

Reports are stating that Beverley may have a reunion with Minnesota following a contract buyout, it just won't be with D'Angelo Russell.
