Mavericks' Anthony Davis Has Unexpected Reaction to Upcoming Matchup Against Lakers

In this story:
The Los Angeles Lakers are in the home stretch of the regular season. This will be the final week of the regular season in the NBA, and a lot can and will happen regarding the Western Conference standings.
It will be pivotal for the Lakers to finish on a strong note to not only get the best seeding possible but also avoid the play-in tournament.
The Lakers have a grueling schedule, and each will be a must-win. L.A. has the top seed in the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to worry about, but after that, they will get to face their old friend and champion, Anthony Davis of the Dallas Mavericks.
The Lakers will travel to Dallas on Wednesday for their final regular season meeting. It will be a night filled with emotions for Davis and Laker superstar guard Luka Doncic.
Davis and the Mavericks made a pit spot in Los Angeles to take on the Clippers. After their loss on Saturday, reporters asked Davis about the Mavericks' upcoming game against the Lakers on Wednesday.
Davis responded in a peculiar way, saying he has 'no emotions' for this week's game against his former team.

Davis spent five-plus seasons in Los Angeles, where he established himself as not only one of the elite big men to don the purple and gold but also one of the best players in franchise history.
In early February, the 32-year-old was traded from L.A. to Dallas in one of the more shocking and massive trades in sports history. Davis, along with Max Christie, was traded to Dallas in exchange for Doncic, Maxi Kleber, and Markieff Morris.
The trade appears to have worked for both sides thus far, particularly the Lakers, who have a chance to finish high as the No. 2 seed in the loaded Western Conference.
Davis has missed more time than not as a Maverick. He has only played in seven games for the Mavericks. He is averaging 20.6 points per game, 9.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.7 blocks while shooting 45.5 percent from the field in 28.9 minutes of action.
Davis may be playing a front. Undoubtedly, he wants to go out there and make the Lakers regret the trade. The same can be said for Doncic, who was not only traded, but the Mavericks kicked him on the way out, threw dirt on his name, and then some.
Wednesday's matchup between these two will go a long way and be worth watching.
