How To Watch Orlando Magic-Brooklyn Nets, Lineups, Injury Report, Betting Lines & More

In this story:
The Orlando Magic close out a road back-to-back against the Brooklyn Nets, looking for their first victory in an opposing arena in 2026 after suffering upset losses in Chicago and Washington.
Since Dec. 1, the Magic have almost exclusively alternated wins and losses with the exception of consecutive defeats six days apart in the NBA Cup semifinals against New York and then to open a four-game road trip in Denver. The good news is they’ve only suffered through one losing streak since dropping four straight from Oct. 24-29, but not being able to get on a true roll has been an issue.
Orlando point guard Jalen Suggs returned on New Year’s eve following a seven-game absence but is again facing an indefinite absence following a knee knock and is expected to miss a third straight game. Star forward Franz Wagner is also closing in on a return from a high ankle sprain, while older brother Moe Wagner will soon debut following offseason knee surgery.
Brooklyn, like Washington, is bringing up the rear in its division, but comes off a dominant 127-115 win over Denver. The Nets have a significant rest advantage over the Magic, last taking the floor on Sunday. They finished 7-4 in December and have gotten healthier over the past few weeks due to the return of guards Cam Thomas and Terance Mann.
The Nets are 5-13 at home and continuing a three-game homestan. The Magic are 8-11 on the road, but have dropped seven of 10 outside Central Florida if you include their NBA Cup loss in Las Vegas.

Nets look to keep Magic winless on the road in ‘26
The Orlando Magic (20-17) visit the Brooklyn Nets (11-22) for the second meeting between these Eastern Conference teams. The Magic continue to share the Southeast Division lead with the Miami Heat, while the Nets are the only team in their division under .500, trailing the first-place Boston Celtics by 11 games.
Brooklyn is 8-15 against Eastern Conference foes but has won five of its last seven. Orlando is 3-6 over its last nine against East foes, but owns a victory over the Nets in their only matchup this season, a 105-98 win on Nov. 14. That contest counted towards NBA Cup standings and featured the Magic rallying from an early fourth-quarter deficit by holding the Nets to 16 points in the last 12 minutes, finishing on an 11-0 run. Brooklyn fell to 1-11 despite 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists from Michael Porter Jr. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 25 points, while Tristan da Silva added 22 points and a team-high nine boards.
Orlando has won seven consecutive games over the Nets, but is just 3-7 over its last 10 games in Barclays Center. The Nets’ last win over the Magic came on Dec. 2, 2023. The Magic have posted six of their seven victories by seven or more points and now lead the all-time series 76-60 dating back to 1989, when the Nets still called New Jersey home.

Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley on Wizards’ loss: “They hit some big shots down the stretch. Lost (CJ McCollum) a couple times and then he hit the big shots to take it out of reach. But again, I thought that group (bench unit) did a heck of a job and I don’t think it came down to fatigue at that moment. I think it’s just those starters came back in and CJ hit some great shots for them."
