Magic Starting 5: Orlando Trade Pieces Off Limits?

The Magic Insider lists five of the biggest NBA storylines in addition to relevant Orlando Magic news and analysis.

In this story:

1. WHICH MAGIC PLAYERS ARE UNTOUCHABLE?

"The Orlando Magic has a lot of players that won't warrant trade consideration this summer. Every young piece on the Magic roster flashed some type of ability that improves his future stock this past season."

2. TERENCE DAVIS TO MAGIC?

"Davis played in 64 games for the Kings this season and saw his three-point percentage improve to 36.6 percent. However, he only averaged 6.7 points per game after his role was diminished following the acquisitions of Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk. His minutes per game decreased from 17.9 in 2021-22 to just 13.1 this past season. This means Davis could look for a new home that could give him more playing time, but the jury's still out on whether the Magic could offer that."

3. JAMES HARDEN SCORES 45 IN WIN VS. CELTICS

Despite playing without Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers pulled out a road win in Game 1 against the Boston Celtics on the back of 45 points from James Harden.

4. TUESDAY NIGHT'S GAMES

Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks, 7:30 p.m. EST, TNT

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors, 10:00 p.m. EST, TNT

5. NBA DRAFT LOTTERY COUNTDOWN

The Magic is 14 days away from the NBA Draft Lottery, where it will be revealed if Orlando will have the opportunity to take Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick.
