In this story:

1. WENDELL WINS IT FOR MAGIC

"The Orlando Magic is starting the second half of the season on the right foot, beating the Detroit Pistons 108-106 at Amway Center on Thursday night.

"The game came down to the final possession, where Wendell Carter Jr. tipped in a game-winner as the buzzer sounded to push the Magic on top."

2. WATCH WENDELL'S WINNER

In a back-and-forth affair with the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. hit the game-winner as time expired to clinch the victory.

It's Carter Jr.'s first game-winner of his career and Orlando's first since Jalen Suggs hit a three at the buzzer to beat the Chicago Bulls on Nov. 18.

3. OPTIMISM IN ORLANDO?

"The final stretch of the season won't be "easy" or "hard" for the Orlando Magic ... At least according to the NBA's calculations.

"With six weeks left of the regular season, the Magic have the 17th toughest remaining schedule in the league. Orlando's "average" strength of schedule is measured by cumulative opponent winning percentage, back-to-backs, rest-advantage and home/road games."

4. FRIDAY'S GAMES

5. NEXT MAGIC GAME

The Magic will return to the court tomorrow night at home against the Indiana Pacers at 7:00 p.m. You can watch in-market on Bally Sports Florida or out-of-market on NBA League Pass.
