ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic holds the NBA's longest win streak, along with the Phoenix Suns, with seven victories in a row.

The hot streak from the Magic has catapulted the team into a tie for second place in the Eastern Conference, the highest Orlando has been in over a decade. The team sits just one game back of the first-place Boston Celtics, whom the Magic beat on Friday in its In-Season Tournament group play finale.

The win streak also has resulted in a rise in NBA.com's power rankings. The Magic has moved up to No. 7 after being at No. 17 a week ago.

"The Magic have won seven straight games to climb into second place in the Eastern Conference, and the streak was legitimized last week with wins against the Nuggets and Celtics in which Orlando outscored their opponents by 36 points (120-84) in the paint," NBA.com writes.

The only teams ranked higher than the Magic are the Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Celtics. Perhaps a continuation of the Magic's win streak could allow Orlando to move up even higher next week.

The Magic's chances to continue this win streak are good. The team is four games into a six-game home stand, and it concludes this week when Orlando hosts the 2-14 Washington Wizards on Wednesday and Friday. Then, Orlando heads back to the Barclays Center on Saturday to play the Brooklyn Nets, the last team the Magic lost to on Nov. 14.
