1. PAOLO AT CENTER? “One of the things we really found in [2021] in the Tokyo Olympics was having a 5 who can push the ball and transition and create plays is very difficult for FIBA teams to handle," USA coach Steve Kerr said. "So he can play some 4, as he showed, but he’ll play plenty of 5, as well.”

2. PAOLO'S PERFORMANCE “In his time in the game, Banchero was both effective and efficient, scoring seven points on 3 of 4 shooting while adding both a rebound and assist."

3. FULTZ STILL A BUST? "He may be able to remove any remaining skepticism that he's a bust, but until then, he remains the biggest "what if" for the Magic since Tracy McGrady."

4. FRANZ LEADS GERMANY TO WIN To get ready for the FIBA World Cup later this month, Germany and Canada took part in an international exhibition match.

The Wagner brothers were a big part of Germany's 86-81 victory over Canada.

Franz led all scorers with 18 points, while Moe had five off the bench for the Germans.
