Magic Starting 5: Ron DeSantis Receives Big Donation from Orlando

In this story:
1. DESANTIS DONATION "Team owners dumping money on presidential candidates (especially conservatives) is not new; in this case, it's very odd that, when given the opportunity, the organization isn't distancing itself from the DeSantis donation," Shultz said.
2. AMPLE AMMO “Should they get off to a strong start, they have ample ammunition to make a trade to bolster their roster at the deadline, but for now they’ve been quiet on the trade market,” UPROXX writes.
3. OKC EAST? "At what point do we start calling the Orlando Magic 'Oklahoma City East'? The Magic don't have a current All-NBA talent like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Nor do they have the same cachet of draft picks. But their rotation is similarly brimming with still-developing-but-ready-now players, at least two of whom might have All-NBA nods in their future," Bleacher Report writes.
4. MARK JACKSON LEAVES ESPN "Although shocked and dismayed with the suddenness of it all, I would like to thank ESPN and all the staff of the NBA ESPN crew for allowing me to part of the organization for the past 15+ years. I would also like to thank the NBA fans watching at home and in the arenas throughout the league for all of your support. To the NBA, a heartfelt thank you for allowing a kid to continue to accomplish his dreams."
5. SPURS CHANGE ARENA NAME "Per multiple reports Monday, the AT&T Center will be renamed to the Frost Bank Center. The name change is unofficial as of now, as there's no confirmation that this will be the venue's name for the upcoming season, but an official word from the team is expected to come "as early as this week," per News 4 San Antonio.
