"It means a lot to me," Banchero said on Wednesday. "Towards the end of my high school career I started to kind of put my eyes on the NBA so I made a lot of goals that I wanted to achieve and Rookie of the Year was one of them."
"You learn a lot through tough times. I've learned a lot about myself, to appreciate the game a lot more, not take any days for granted. I try to come in here and get as much as I can out of the day, and just be grateful and thankful."

Dejounte Murray returns from suspension tonight for the Atlanta Hawks as they look to keep their season alive against the defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST on TNT.
5. NBA DRAFT LOTTERY COUNTDOWN
The Magic is 19 days away from the NBA Draft Lottery, where it will be revealed if Orlando will have the opportunity to take Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick.
