Mavs WATCH: Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington Electric Alley-Oops from Luka Doncic
As far as first impressions go, Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington made the most of theirs in the first quarter of the Dallas Mavericks' Saturday afternoon game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Both big men were brought in before Thursday's trade deadline buzzer, and they didn't disappoint a raucous American Airlines Center crowd in their first action with the team.
A little more than halfway through the first quarter, Gafford got his first Mavs basket on the receiving end of an alley-oop from Luka Doncic. Less than one minute of game time passed before Washington found himself on the receiving end of an electrifying alley-oop from Doncic as well.
The Mavs took a 71-62 lead over the Thunder into halftime. Doncic led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Gafford put up eight points on 4-6 shooting to go with four rebounds and a block. Washington had five points on just 2-5 shooting to go with two rebounds and one steal.
