If you're a fan of the Dallas Mavericks who also happens to enjoy good music, then you've just hit the jackpot.

Andrew Bishop, Jr., who goes by the name "Six Six Drew," is a young, talented hip-hop artist from Columbus, Mississippi. Mavs fans who tune into The Step Back: A Mavs Podcast regularly are already familiar with some of Drew's work. So far, he has created two intros for the podcast. You can listen to the pre-Porzingis trade intro here, and the current pod intro here.

Drew has become a valued member of The Step Back and DallasBasketball.com family in a short amount of time, and now, he plans on giving the Mavs fanbase something else to be excited about as the 2019-2020 season approaches.

Six Six Drew's brand new single, "Luka Doncic," is currently scheduled to be released about a week before the Mavs season gets underway. The song not only pays homage to the reigning Rookie of the Year's historic season last year, but also shouts out this year's Mavs squad as a whole as well. You can listen to a snippet of the song here:

Like Doncic, Drew also feels like he's a Rookie of the Year in his own way, having a breakout year and seeing his music steadily gain more popularity with each track that's released. In the song, Drew opens up by expressing the struggles he's gone through to get to this point, while also acknowledging that things are starting to turn in his favor.
