As the NBA offseason has slowed down across the league, most rosters are now relatively set prior to start of the 2023-24 season.

But for the Dallas Mavericks, they've now added two additional forwards to their training camp roster.

On Tuesday morning, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that free agent forwards Greg Brown III and Joe Wieskamp have agreed to training camp invites from the Mavs.

For Brown, he's played his first two seasons in the league with the Portland Trail Blazers after spending one year at the University of Texas. The Dallas native averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in just 16 games last season with the Trail Blazers after averaging 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 48 games as a rookie.

As for Wieskamp, he was drafted in the second-round by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2021 NBA draft. After playing in 29 games with the Spurs as a rookie, Wieskamp played just nine games in the big leagues with the Toronto Raptor as he spent the majority of his time in the G League, averaging 14.5 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 38.8 percent from downtown on just under eight attempts per game.

Adding both Brown and Wieskamp gives Dallas 18 players on their roster heading into October's training camp, which provides coach Jason Kidd more bodies and potential assets for the Texas Legends heading into the 2023-24 season, unless one of the newcomers earns himself a contract with the Mavs.
