Mikal's 2024 All-Star case
Mikal is seizing the golden opportunity that he has this year as the Nets’ main man.
Averaging 20.7 points to go with career bests of 5.2 boards and 3.7 dimes, Bridges has taken over for Brooklyn throughout their regular season run so far. Under his leadership, the Nets currently have a 15-20 record that puts them in the ninth spot in the East.

How can Mikal sustain the fans’ All-Star favor?
For Mikal to secure his first-ever All-Star selection, he truly needs to improve his numbers, as his recent performances were quite underwhelming.
As the Nets have lost five straight games and 10 of their last 12, Mikal also experienced a critical downslide performance-wise. Throughout this stretch, he has been woeful with just 16.2 points in an inefficient 36.9 percent field goal efficiency — a punchless production that the entire team has been mincing about.
It would truly be a delight to see a Net being an All-Star this year. But as much as fans would love to see it, it all boils down to Mikal and his determination to be named one.
