Legendary NBA Coach Slams Dan Lanning's Colorado Comments

In this story:
Oregon Football head coach Dan Lanning has been going viral for his comments about the Colorado Buffaloes chasing clicks while Oregon is chasing wins. The irony of Lanning's comments is playing out in real time, with the Oregon coach generating millions of "clicks" with his pregame speech.
Calling out this irony, former Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl shared this Tweet on Saturday afternoon:
This is BS. He knew he was being filmed!! 👎 https://t.co/fmcOkm2XES
— George Karl (@CoachKarl22) September 23, 2023
Having coached in Colorado for the Denver Nuggets from 2005-2013, Karl came to the Buffaloes' defense, calling out Lanning for what he felt were hypocritical comments. While Lanning may have a point, so does Karl and those who have been making this same argument.
While these comments from the Oregon Ducks head coach have sparked a lot of discussion, he and his team ultimately backed up the talk, blowing out Colorado from start to finish. The Buffaloes will certainly have to learn from this game going forward, as they were overmatched in every single facet of the game.
This is a disappointing outcome for a Colorado team that had taken the sports world by storm, but they will now have an opportunity to go back to the drawing board and locate the areas they need to improve going forward. This was always going to be a tough matchup, and Colorado was able to see how far they are from where they need to be.
