Suns Reveal Chris Paul's Injury Status for Game 3 vs. Nuggets

Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul is dealing with a groin injury that will keep him out of Game 3 vs. the Denver Nuggets. The Suns announced on Thursday night that Paul had officially been ruled out for Game 3, making him the only Phoenix player who will not suit up for this game.

While Paul is not the offensive threat he once was, this is still a major absence for the Suns, especially considering their lack of backcourt depth. This is a top-heavy team that relies on big minutes from their starters, and will now have to find point guard production elsewhere on their roster.

In the absence of Paul, the Suns will likely put the ball in Devin Booker's hands a lot more. While Booker is not a traditional point guard, he has the ability to make plays for himself and others. The same is true for Kevin Durant to some extent, especially when he is seeing multiple defenders. Down their primary ball handler, the Suns will have to get creative.

Game 3 is a must-win game for Phoenix, as they already trail the Nuggets 0-2. Losing the first two games of this series, both of which came in Denver, the Suns are hopeful they can take care of business at home to even this series before heading back on the road.
