The Nuggets have been very supportive of the Buffaloes this season, and while Colorado fell to USC on Saturday, it was a very exciting game with tons of action. Colorado entered this game as heavy underdogs, but put up a solid fight, falling by a final score of 48-41.
For the defending champion Nuggets, this is one of several public appearances the team has made this summer. Between Nikola Jokic partying nightly in Serbia, Jamal Murray appearing in a Jack Harlow video, and Michael Porter Jr. throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game in Taiwan, the Nuggets have been outside this summer.
With training camp just days away, the Nuggets will begin shifting their focus from the summer of celebration to their title defense. There are a lot of really good teams around the NBA, with more moves likely to come, but Denver has a real shot to repeat as champions if things go as planned. Behind Jokic, Murray, and a solid supporting cast, the Nuggets project to be a force not just next season, but for seasons to come.
