Aaron Nesmith to return from hip injury for Indiana Pacers Thursday

Nesmith missed the last two games for the blue and gold

Indiana Pacers wing Aaron Nesmith will return to action tonight after missing time with a left hip injury.

Nesmith was out for the Pacers prior two contests with left hip soreness, and he was still listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets. But head coach Rick Carlisle confirmed before the game that Nesmith would play.

The 23-year old will start, as he has for much of the season. Jordan Nwora, who started with Nesmith sidelined, will return to the bench.

Nesmith is averaging 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game for the blue and gold. He has been particularly impressive as a defender this campaign and is often tasked with defending the opposing team's best player.

Nwora did well in the starting five but will remain in a key role off the bench. Nesmith is averaging 10.8 points per game on 46/38/80 shooting splits since the start of February.

The Pacers are 24-33 when Nesmith suits up this season. He has started 45 times.
