Possible Signing? An NBA Vet Who's Played For The New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz And More

Evan Massey of NBA Analysis Network reports that the Indiana Pacers "have considered the idea of signing" Wes Matthews. The NBA veteran has played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks and others.

According to Evan Massey of NBA Analysis Network, the Indiana Pacers have "considered the idea of signing" Wesley Matthews.

Per league source to @HoopAnalysisNet, the #Pacers have considered the idea of signing free agent guards Lance Stephenson and Wesley Matthews. Applying for the NBA’s Disabled Player Exception is the first step to adding a new player to help replace Sumner.

Massey notes that the Pacers getting the NBA Disabled Player Exception is what has to happen first before adding a new player to replace Edmond Sumner who tore his left Achilles. 

Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Flies reported on Friday that the Pacers have applied for the Exception (see Tweet below).

After Edmond Sumner suffered a torn Achilles last week during a workout and is expected to be sidelined all season, the Pacers have applied for the Disabled Player Exception.

The Pacers have applied for the NBA’s Disabled Player Exception, league source told @FieldhouseFiles.

It would allow them to add another player after guard Edmond Sumner had surgery this week to repair a torn left Achilles.
