Detroit Pistons vs. Miami Heat: Jimmy Butler's Injury Report Status

In this story:
UPDATE: Jimmy Butler is OUT against the Pistons on Sunday.
The Miami Heat could find themselves without their star forward, Jimmy Butler, on Sunday night when they take on the Detroit Pistons once again.
According to the Heat’s injury report, Butler is listed as “questionable” to play. The team cites a right foot contusion as the reason why he could miss the matchup.
When the Pistons hosted the Heat on Friday night, Butler was good to go. He checked in for 31 minutes and produced 14 points on 45 percent shooting from the field. Along with his scoring, Butler came down with four rebounds and dished out three assists. Defensively, he collected two steals.
Heading into Friday’s game, the Heat were in the middle of a four-game slump. Their last win occurred against the Pistons back on March 5. Despite missing multiple players on the road, Butler and the Heat collected a 13-point win over Detroit to snap their losing streak.
The road won’t get any easier for the Heat on Sunday. While they’ve had success against the Pistons in every matchup against them this season, the Heat face numerous potential absences and have already ruled out a handful of players due to injury.
In 47 games with the Heat this year, Butler has produced 21 points per game while collecting six rebounds and five assists per outing. He’s shooting efficiently from the field, knocking down 50 percent of his field goals and 42 percent from deep.
This season, Butler has missed 19 games for Miami. Without the standout, Miami holds a winning record of 12-7. While they are clearly better with Butler on the floor, Miami can hold its own in his absence.
The Pistons and the Heat are set to tip off at 3 PM ET on Sunday.
