Coming off of a Friday night loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Detroit Pistons are set to pay a visit to the Orlando Magic

Heading into the matchup, the Pistons’ injury report featured a couple of players.

Pistons vs. Magic Injury Report

Marcus Sasser, G

Lately, the rookie guard out of Houston has been dealing with a knee contusion. His lower-body concerns started fresh out of the All-Star break when the Pistons paid a visit to the Indiana Pacers. As he experienced knee soreness leading up to Detroit’s last matchup against the Magic last Saturday, Sasser was ruled out for the night after being downgraded to questionable on the injury report.

Earlier this week, the Pistons placed a one-week re-evaluation timeline for Sasser after coming to an official diagnosis. It turns out he’ll be back on the court earlier than expected. Leading up to Sunday’s game in Orlando, Sasser was upgraded to probable. The Pistons have officially decided he would be cleared for action on Sunday.

Quentin Grimes, G

When the Pistons acquired Quentin Grimes from the New York Knicks last month, he was already battling a knee injury, which had him off the floor for three straight games. After the trade occurred, Grimes took a few games before making his Detroit debut. After a five-game absence, Grimes made his debut against the Magic last Saturday. He checked in for 26 minutes.

Throughout his first four-game stretch with the Pistons, Grimes averaged five points, two rebounds, and two assists. With his minutes regressing over the last two games, it’s apparent Grimes might’ve been experiencing soreness lately, which placed him on the injury report on Sunday, listed as questionable. Unfortunately, Grimes will miss Saturday's matchup.
