The Houston Rockets have a ton of potential with six first-round picks from the past three drafts.

Among that first draft class in 2021 came Jalen Green, who many saw as a 20 points per game scorer out of the gates, and Alperen Sengun, a relative unknown from Turkey.

However, Sengun has made his presence known in his first two NBA seasons, and there's legitimate star potential there with the Rockets center.

BetOnline.ag lists Sengun as the third-likeliest player to win the NBA's Most Improved Player of the Year award with 14/1 odds, trailing only Washington Wizards shooting guard Jordan Poole and Brooklyn Nets wing Mikal Bridges.

Poole has the potential to be a top option with the Wizards after Washington traded Bradley Beal, and Bridges is expected to pick up where he left off last season with the Nets.

However, Sengun has the chance to truly blossom into a star for the Rockets.

Despite a slow start to the season, Sengun showcased a lot of potential in his second year. He averaged 14.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists across 75 games for the 22-60 Rockets.
